Global Village Institute is a non-profit organization created in 1974 from a simple machine shop that made wind generators, tofu presses and Stirling engines. We were chartered as a tax-exempt charity in 1984 for the purpose of researching and disseminating promising new technologies and creative arts that work in friendly ways to heal our world.
